(PT) Há um ano recebiamos pelo correio o programa do Belluard Bollwerk Festival. Um livrinho com muitas cenouras e vegetais e artistas que nos faziam querer vir. Mas Portugal, sempre encostado ao oceano Atlântico, era longe da Suiça cravada no centro da Europa. Não viemos… Mas um papel que acompanhava o livrinho das cenouras chamou-nos a atenção. Um papel laranja com a palavra Kitchen e um ambicioso texto onde se pediam ideias para o espaço de convivio e de cozinha do festival.
A vontade de participar chegou de imediato, a certeza esperou dois meses por uma ideia. O princípio, simples como todos os principios, chegou num quente mês de Agosto: uma grande mesa onde todos pudessem comer e cozinhar. Uma grande mesa onde as pessoas se juntassem para conversar, beber... O ritual de cozinhar e de comer usado como detonador da socialização e da troca de ideias. Houve afinações, incertezas, avanços e recuos como em qualquer criação. Houve muitos banhos no mar e tardes quentes em frente ao computador. No fim do Verão tinhamos as nossas mesas azuis desenhadas e demos-lhe o nome de Kitchain. Hoje chegámos a Fribourg para os preparativos finais do projecto. Há um ano o Belluard Bollwerk Festival era um desejo, agora parece que afinal Portugal não é assim tão longe da Suiça…

(ENG) One year ago, we received by mail the Belluard Bollwerk International brochure. A small booklet with a lot of carrots, vegetables and artists that gave us a strong desire to come to the Festival. Portugal, always overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, was too far from Switzerland, perfectly settled in the center of Europe and we didn’t make it… But there was a paper attached to the carrots small booklet that called our attention. An orange sheet with the word Kitchen and an ambitious text where they were looking for ideas for the next year eating and gathering space of the festival. Our will to participate was right the way, the certainty of participating had to wait two months for an idea to come. The principle, simple as all the principles, arrived in a very hot italian August: a big table where everybody can cook or just eat. A big table where people come together to talk, to drink… The ritual of cooking and eating used as a detonator of socialization and ideas exchange. There were tunings, uncertainties and steps forward and backward. There were many mornings diving in the sea and many hot afternoons in front of the computer. At the end of the summer we had our blue tables designed and we gave them the name of Kitchain. Today, we arrived in Fribourg to make the last preparations for the project. One year ago the Belluard Bollwerk International Festival was just a desire; today, it seems like that, at the end, Portugal is not so far away from Switzerland…
