(ENG) MOOV is part of the international programme of the “Design Night Festival” in Tallinn – Estonia – from 23 to 26 September, with the urban installation “Demo_polis”, an ephemeral artistic intervention made of 10 tents that create a new inhabited territory. An emergency and social contamination territory, token of a city stressed between necessity and opportunity, between discovery and security…An improvised and temporary perspective of accommodation in the heart of the cities where it is set up. A temporary intruder that aims to make alternatives visible, by testing and developing new approaches and programs.

“Demo_polis” has been originally developed for “Luzboa’06” – International Biennial of Light – occupying for ten days the Páteo Garrett, in Chiado, Lisbon. The installation has also been selected for the catalogue of the exhibition “Habitar Portugal” - a selection of the most relevant architecture developed from 2006 to 2008 – and it was set up in Cascais during the opening week of the exhibition.

“Design Night Festival” is an annual event that promotes an efficient application of creativity and design to create better physical and social environments. The Festival includes exhibitions, lectures and seminars. The 5th edition will be held in Tallinn from 23 to 26 September and it will kick off with the seminar “Cities For All – Tallinn For All”. It will include a workshop – “Leib” – where designers are invited to build objects with their own hands and the exhibitions “100 metres to Design” and “Out of the Box”.

(PT) Os MOOV integram a programação internacional da Design Night Festival em Tallinn – Estónia - de 23 a 26 Setembro com a instalação urbana Demo_polis, uma intervenção artística efémera composta por 10 tendas que formam um novo território habitado. Território de emergência e de contaminação social, testemunho de uma cidade extremada entre a necessidade e a oportunidade, entre a descoberta e a segurança. Uma perspectiva de alojamento improvisado e temporário no coração das cidades onde se instala. Um intruso temporário que procura fazer as alternativas evidentes, testando e desenvolvendo novas abordagens e programas.

Demo_polis foi originalmente desenvolvido para a Luzboa’06 - Bienal Internacional da Luz, tendo ocupado durante dez dias o Páteo Garret no Chiado. A instalação foi ainda seleccionada para o catálogo e exposição Habitar Portugal, uma selecção da arquitectura mais relevante desenvolvida no período 2006-2008, tendo sido instalada em Cascais durante a semana de abertura da exposição.

Design Night Festival é um evento anual que promove a aplicação da criatividade e do design de modo eficiente para a construção de melhores ambiente físicos e sociais. O Festival é composto por exposições, conferências e seminários. A 5ª edição vai decorrer em Tallinn de 23 a 26 de Setembro e terá o seu pontapé de saída com o Seminário Cities For All – Tallinn For All, integrará um workshop Leib onde designers vão ser convidados a construir objectos com as suas próprias mãos; a exposição 100 metres to Design e Out of the Box.
