(ENG) We are doing our bags to participate in the Imagine 2020 Summer Lab #1 :  “From science to art: forests at the heart of life”  that will take place in Montpellier - France from 24th to 27th August.
In recent years our understanding and awareness of global climate change has increased greatly. However, there is a gap between scientific knowledge and concern on one hand and understanding and action by wider society on the other.
The Imagine 2020 Network,  born in June 2010, brings together eleven performing arts venues and festivals across nine European countries. The idea is to support artistic works that look at the causes and effects of climate change to increase awareness among the artistic community and the general public, rethink mobility and producing practices, and provoke change within the cultural sector and beyond. Every summer, the network organises a Summer Academy for artists. Scientists, economists, philosophers, policy makers, NGO representatives will meet interested artists across all disciplines from across Europe to engage them in a dialogue on global change. The Summer Academy will provide the opportunity to step outside day-to-day work and engage with colleagues from across many disciplines, with the scientific support of Cirad (Centre of International Cooperation in Agricultural Research for Development) and the forestry network Silva.
